Len Shorkey - Oct 29, 1970 - Dec 17, 2024
Designed and handcrafted for one of my closest friends, this piece is more than just stained glass—it’s a heartfelt tribute to his life, passions, and the legacy he left behind.
My last gift you my friend - may you Rest in Peace.

Each panel tells a chapter of his story and weaves together the essence of who Len was.

-
The Compass Rose represents the guiding symbol of his company, a reflection of his leadership and vision.
-
The Plumeria flower captures his deep love for Hawaii, a place where he found joy, peace, and exploration.
-
The Fleur-de-lis honors his proud Quebec heritage, a connection to his roots.
-
The Lighthouse stands as a tribute to his time as a lighthouse keeper and the beautiful west coast he loved.

The wood detail is a carefully crafted lamination of reclaimed Douglas Fir and a large piece of 200+ year-old Douglas Fir bark, salvaged from Willows Beach. This aged bark, rich with history, was carefully milled to highlight its beautiful grain and add that last touch of elegance to his urn.

Len, you have been, and always shall be, "My Friend".
