Fall Glass Leaf
Every Fall, a large tree in my neighborhood transforms into a brilliant display of yellow leaves. Among the vibrant yellow, a few rare leaves catch my eye—extraordinary ones that are beautifully multicolored in shades of red, green, and yellow.

These unique leaves have always fascinated me, not just for their vivid hues but for the intricate structure of their veins. Like all leaves, they eventually turn brown, and their fleeting beauty fades. Inspired by their natural elegance, I wanted to preserve their stunning colors and structure through stained glass art.

In this DIY stained glass project, I collected one of the rare multicolored leaves in the Fall and used it as a pattern to create a custom glass design. With careful glass cutting and glass soldering techniques, I transformed the leaf's natural beauty into a sun catcher that captures its essence year-round.

While the craftsmanship involves techniques from stained glass art, the piece is really an homage to the artistry of nature. The final design captures the intricate veins and stunning colors of the original leaf, preserving nature's fleeting moments in a timeless stained glass creation.
